Demand that IPC Allow for a low-cost, flexible on-line recertification tesing option by signing our petition here.
While we are all a "tech" business the IPC currently maintains is now holding to the archaic practices with respect to recertification policies by no longer allowing allowing online recertification testing for its classroom learning classes.
Along with other trade groups who provide industry recertifications through the internet, the assembly and user customers should demand a change in these practices especially in light of the cost pressures being faced electronics.
There are many organization using online recertifications. The Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) uses online recertification. The ETA (Electronics Technicians Association) certifies thousands of technicians using the internet (non skills demonstration certs-just like the IPCA610 and IPCA620). Over 28,000 fiber optics installers and hundreds or thousands in each basic or specialty segment of electronics have been certified.
We at BEST will continue to push for lower cost methods for certification and recertification of both the BEST and IPC training programs. We encourage you to be heard as well. Sign the petition here
